As soon as I took out the large floor-mat, and unrolled it, the kids were shouting, "Woah!" The only problem is that we had lost the other pens, so we only had the one that came with the mat. We took the chance to practice sharing, and it was touch-and-go for a minute! Now that I think about it, I could have cut up a few sponges into shapes and gently wet them. I'll do that next time! The best part of this mat is that there are drawing "tutorials" on the edge. They show the kids how to draw several pictures, in 2-4 steps. They had a blast trying to learn the techniques! Of course, Little pea stuck with the only letter she can draw: A. She draws a long zig zag, and puts a long line through them, just like I did when writing sentences for punishment!
